Kampgrounds of America: Our Experience

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) reached out to us a few weeks ago to partner on a stay and review our experience. We were thrilled. Having already been fans of KOA, and with a couple stays already planned in the near future, we said yes!

Overall, we were impressed by the campground and facilities. In our experience, KOAs generally have lots of great amenities. Our location included pizza and ice cream for sale, a massive game room, a nice warm pool, and a hot tub. But the amenity we used the most was the playground. We’ve mentioned this before, but having a playground nearby is practically a necessity when living in close quarters with a 3-year-old, and we got some mileage of this one. It was spacious, with lots for our little one to do, and they even had a merry-go-round! Say what?!

Another thing not all RV resorts offer, but is available at most KOAs, is cabin lodging. Of course, our family is set with our Airstream, but cabins make it easy to meet up with friends or family on the road and make some memories together. We’re actually about to do just that at another KOA in a couple months, as our family will be getting a cabin and celebrating the 4th of July with us!

Lastly, the vast network of KOAs helps us as we book our stays. We know when we see a KOA on our route that we have somewhere to stay that is clean and safe, with things for our kiddos to do. Plus, we also save 10% off any stay as members of KOA’s Value Kard Rewards program.

If you haven’t checked out a KOA yet, we definitely recommend it. They’re also doing a giveaway through the end of the month that some of you might be interested in. The grand prize is incredible: $1000 cash, a $500 KOA gift card, and an RV! Be sure to sign up here, and if you win, come meet us on the road!!
