Airstream Tour

One of our favorite things about life on the road is no matter where we might be, we can step into our Airstream and feel at home. In just a short time, it’s become as much a home as any house we’ve lived in. Here’s how life looks in our tiny mobile house.

Love grows best in little houses With fewer walls to separate Where you eat and sleep so close together You can't help but communicate Oh, and if we had more room between us, think of all we'd miss Love grows best, in houses just like this. - Doug Stone Photo by Tay and McKay Photography

Where you eat and sleep so close together
You can't help but communicate
Oh, and if we had more room between us, think of all we'd miss
Love grows best, in houses just like this.

Our bedroom - and sometimes workspace. To the right and left of our bed are our closets. There are double windows behind our bed, and windows on each side, making our room feel larger than it actually is. Photo by Tay and McKay Photography

We have three oily stations in our Airstream, making our essential oils easily accessible. These racks are located in our bedroom.

Airstreams are designed to let in tons of natural light, making everything feel spacious and open. We also really enjoy the subtle reflections on the aluminum ceiling. Photo by Tay and McKay Photography

In the kitchen, we opted for a convection microwave instead of a separate microwave and oven, creating more storage space. Also, those two windows are our favorite. Photo by Tay and McKay Photography

Just when you thought sink baths couldn't get any cuter! Since we don’t have a tub, we make use of the large sink for baths for the baby. Believe it or not, it's big enough for our toddler too!

In the kids’ room, we took out the full mattress and added some inexpensive flooring to create space for a play area as well as our baby's pack and play . What we love about this pack and play is that it unzips on the side, making it easy to get the baby in and out in such a small space. Photo by Tay and McKay Photography

This is our toddler's cozy bed. She loves asking all of our friends if they want to see her bunk! Also, we love her bedding ; two zips and voila! Her bed is made! Photo by Tay and McKay Photography

We turned the rear of the kids’ room into a comfy reading/play area. Where there used to be a TV, we hung bookshelves and other items to best utilize the space. This nook has been perfect for our daughter to get some downtime.

You might not believe it, but the shower is actually pretty spacious! We keep our soap and shampoo in wall-mounted soap dispensers , meaning less things to pack away on driving days. Photo by Tay and McKay Photography

In our bathroom, we mounted several organizers on the wall, like this suction cup toothbrush holder , which Tiffany actually uses for her makeup brushes. One more fun fact: that little mirror on the wall is the only mirror in our entire home! Photo by Tay and McKay Photography

Our refrigerator is 8 cubic feet, which is important to us as we try to maintain a healthy diet on the road.   Photo by Tay and McKay Photography
