We finally did it! For the first time in almost 3 years we managed to get away for a full 48hrs without the kiddos (thanks to my mother-in-law!) 🙌 When we were initially planning our time away, we thought getting a hotel and doing absolutely nothing sounded amazing. But the more we thought about it, the more we wanted to make sure to be intentional with this time and grow as a couple.
We knew if we went the hotel route we would end up binge-watching a TV series, getting lost in the noise and leaving feeling apathetic. Besides, anyone else hear that the more TV you watch, the more depressed you become? That’s the last thing we wanted!
I remembered our friends over at Georgia Glamping and knew this was exactly what we were in need of. A time out from extra noise and media. The healing silence of nature.
Did you know that being in nature has a profound impact on our brains and our behavior, helping us to reduce anxiety, stress, and increase our attention capacity, creativity, and our ability to connect with other people? And I kid you not, those two magical nights spent in nature did just that for us, both as individuals and as a couple. We left feeling deeply connected, fully seen and appreciated by each other.
